Place for playing with commands…
ODOC : $ mv file_name new_file_name. mv means move. This cmd will rename the original file name. Also we can move one file/folder from one path to another directory path.
eg: mv a.txt b.txt. This will rename a.txt into b.txt.
$ mv -r /home/arul/songs /home/arul/backup. This will move songs folder into backup folder. -r option used to move recursively.
Actually mv cmd will copy from source path to destination path and then will delete the original file from the source path.. 🙂
