Day 36: $ free

ODOC: bala@bala:~ /home$ free
Free command displays the total amount of free and used physical and swap memory
in the system, as well as the buffers used by the kernel. The shared memory column
should be ignored.

For example:

$ free
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 2375108 875316 1499792 0 70384 440108
-/+ buffers/cache: 364824 2010284
Swap: 3998716 0 3998716

$ free -m

Displays in MB.

total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 2319 854 1464 0 68 429
-/+ buffers/cache: 356 1963
Swap: 3904 0 3904
